Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner, currently ranked world No. 2, shared his thoughts and expectations ahead of his participation in the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Shanghai, China.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Sinner remarked on his return to the event: “Of course, it`s nice to be back here. This is a very special tournament, and it`s also the last one in Asia this year. It`s great to come here again.”
Sinner further highlighted the unique challenges presented by the tournament`s environment. He noted that the playing conditions in Shanghai differ significantly from those in Beijing. “I`ve only had one practice session to prepare, but we`ll see. The first match is always very tough, you never know what`s going to happen,” he explained during a press conference.
“But of course, I`m very happy to play here again, in front of the Shanghai fans,” Sinner concluded, conveying his excitement to compete before the local spectators.
