Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner shared his thoughts after a successful fourth-round match at the Miami Masters, where he defeated American Alex Michelsen with a score of 7:5, 7:6 (7:4). In a post-match interview, Sinner emphasized that his serve was a decisive element of his success. “I felt that my serve helped me a lot, especially in crucial moments and in the tie-break. I am pleased with this aspect of my game,” Sinner noted.
Nevertheless, he recognizes the need to improve his baseline game to advance further in the tournament. “Tomorrow’s day off will provide an opportunity to rest and find a good rhythm in training,” the tennis player added. He also mentioned the changed playing conditions (a daytime match compared to an evening one) and expressed satisfaction with his fighting spirit and how he managed a close match against a tough opponent.
Jannik Sinner’s next opponent will be another American tennis player, Frances Tiafoe.
