World No. 1 Jannik Sinner of Italy has matched a remarkable record previously held only by Spain`s Rafael Nadal.

Sinner is now just the second tennis player in history, after Nadal, to achieve five consecutive victories against Serbia`s Novak Djokovic at the ATP level. Jannik secured this impressive streak by defeating Novak in the semi-finals of Wimbledon 2025 with a score of 6/3, 6/3, 6/4.

Rafael Nadal`s five-match winning streak against Djokovic occurred between 2008 and 2009.

The head-to-head record between Sinner and Djokovic now stands at 6-4 in favour of the Italian. Significantly, this victory marks the first occasion Sinner has overcome Djokovic on a grass court.

In the upcoming Wimbledon final, Sinner is set to face fellow Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz.
