ITF Launches Player Support Program: Mental Health and Financial Literacy for Tennis Players

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has introduced a comprehensive new initiative, the Player Support Program, designed to enhance the overall well-being of athletes both on and off the court. This program aims to bolster players` mental and physical health by offering personalized resources and expert consultations.

Available to all players participating in professional ITF tennis tours, including the World Tennis Tour, Wheelchair Tennis Tour, and Beach Tennis Tour, the Player Support Program features a health tracking application. This app enables athletes to monitor and manage their well-being, gaining insights into how it impacts their performance.

The ITF`s offering further includes educational video content on crucial financial topics such as budgeting, savings, and sports taxation. Players will also receive expert guidance on navigating the digital landscape, including how to combat online harassment, and gain access to confidential virtual consultations with health and wellness professionals.

Additionally, the ITF has developed two online courses for players: one focusing on travel safety, and another, created in collaboration with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), providing recommendations for life after tennis, skill development, and career preparation.
