Inter Milan Pursues Roma’s Koné, Frattesi Eyed in Potential Swap Deal

Inter Milan is reportedly making a determined effort to sign Roma midfielder Manu Koné for the upcoming season, potentially proposing a player-plus-cash swap deal that would include Davide Frattesi.

The Serie A leaders previously made a formal offer for Koné last summer, but Roma’s ownership ultimately prevented the France international’s departure.

Inter is keen to reinforce their midfield with greater physical presence for the 2026-27 campaign, making Koné a priority on their summer transfer agenda. The club is said to be prepared to invest up to €50 million for the Frenchman, but incorporating Italy international Frattesi into the deal could help reduce the overall cost.

Roma anticipates significant interest in Koné next summer. The Giallorossi might find themselves compelled to sell one of their star players due to financial considerations, especially if they fail to secure qualification for the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Davide Frattesi has reportedly found playing time challenging under coach Cristian Chivu this season at Inter. Interestingly, Frattesi has a history with Roma, having played in their youth sector between 2014 and 2017. This season, the Italian midfielder has contributed three assists in 29 appearances across all competitions for Inter, but has yet to score a goal.
