“I’m Improving”. Daniil Medvedev on His Victory Over Zverev in Beijing

Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev highly praised his performance after securing a dominant 6/3, 6/3 victory against Germany`s Alexander Zverev in the quarter-finals of the ATP-500 tournament in Beijing.

Medvedev remarked, “I played excellently and maintained complete control throughout the match. I felt confident and believed I had every chance. Zverev only managed to exert significant pressure on my serve during one game, but I fortunately handled it smartly to recover. Conversely, I believe I successfully pressured him and showcased strong play.”

“I am extremely pleased with this win. I executed my game plan perfectly: playing aggressively when needed, making very few errors, and demonstrating decisiveness at crucial moments. I am definitely improving, and I eagerly anticipate striving for even greater progress,” stated the world No. 18, as quoted by the official ATP website.

For a spot in the final of the China Open, Medvedev is scheduled to compete against American Learner Tien in the semi-finals.
