Iga Swiatek: Week in Bad Homburg Helped Regain Confidence

World No. 4 Iga Swiatek shared her thoughts after defeating Katie McNally in the second round of Wimbledon with a score of 5/7, 6/2, 6/1.

Question: Based on your performance, you appear confident once again.

Answer: Yes, I managed to play consistently in Bad Homburg, and that really strengthened my confidence. However, the courts here are completely different, making adaptation tough—especially when the practice courts are already worn out after two weeks, while this beautiful show court sees only a couple of hours of play per day (laughs). I`m simply trying to adjust and feel as confident here as I did there.

Question: How is your towel collection coming along?

Answer: Well… I`m not sure. Now that everyone knows about it, it`s not quite as amusing anymore. I have to be more cautious (laughs). But that`s one of the reasons we come to Wimbledon, the Pole commented during her on-court interview.
