This week, the PGA Tour returns to The Renaissance Club located in North Berwick, Scotland, for the Genesis Scottish Open. Robert MacIntyre, a native of Oban, Scotland, is set to defend the title he won in 2024 on his home turf. He will compete against a formidable roster of players, including all five of the world`s highest-ranked golfers. In 2023, MacIntyre finished just behind Rory McIlroy, but last season he claimed victory in dramatic fashion by sinking a 22-foot birdie putt on the final hole to narrowly defeat Adam Scott. His triumph marked the first time a Scot had won the tournament in 25 years.
Players will vie for a total prize fund of $9 million at this week`s event. The winner will be awarded $1.5 million and 500 FedEx Cup points.
