Hojlund’s €44m Permanent Transfer to Napoli Unlikely to See Manchester United Discount

Napoli is reportedly prepared to finalize Rasmus Hojlund’s permanent transfer from Manchester United for €44 million, as the Red Devils are unwilling to reduce the striker’s agreed transfer fee.

The Denmark international initially joined the Partenopei last summer on a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy. This obligation is tied to Napoli’s qualification for the Champions League this season, a target that appears highly achievable given their current third-place standing in Serie A, maintaining a five-point lead over fifth-placed Roma.

While Napoli may attempt to negotiate a lower price, reports suggest Manchester United is standing firm on their valuation. This stance is reinforced by the high probability of the Azzurri securing their Champions League spot, which would trigger the purchase clause at the full agreed amount.

Hojlund has had a productive season, contributing 13 goals and 4 assists in 35 appearances across all competitions for Napoli.
