The 24-time Grand Slam champion, Novak Djokovic, commented on his upcoming fourth-round opponent at Wimbledon 2025, the Australian Alex de Minaur.
Alex has improved significantly over the past two years. He`s currently playing the best tennis of his career and is definitely close to reaching the final stages of Grand Slam tournaments. He`s already reached the quarterfinals several times. Last year, unfortunately, he had to withdraw due to injury. But this year he`s back in form, hasn`t dropped a set, and is playing well.
Playing against Alex de Minaur on grass is certainly not the easiest challenge. He`s very fast and versatile, has improved his serve, and constructs points brilliantly. I`m expecting a tough, a very tough match. But I`m looking forward to it. It`s a great test to check my level against a top player like Alex.
