FP1 Japan: Mercedes Secures Early 1-2, McLaren and Ferrari in Pursuit

Formula 1 has returned to one of the most iconic circuits on its calendar: Suzuka. The Japanese track holds a special place in the memories of many Ferrari fans, as it was here in 2000 that the Scuderia celebrated a triumphant return to glory with Michael Schumacher, twenty-one years after Jody Scheckter’s last world championship victory. Suzuka is also renowned for being the backdrop to numerous other historic moments in motorsport, adding to its legendary status.
