EuroBasket 2025: Schedule, Teams, and Updates

The 2025 European Basketball Championship (EuroBasket) kicks off on August 27, bringing together 24 teams once again to compete for the continental title.

This 24-team tournament returns for the first time since Spain defeated France to claim gold in 2022. The participants are divided into four groups of six national teams, with the top four teams from each group advancing to the 16-team knockout stage. This year, group play will be hosted in Cyprus, Finland, Latvia, and Poland, while the knockout rounds will take place in Riga, Latvia.

This year`s roster of participants is packed with NBA All-Stars and key players, including Luka Doncic (Slovenia), Nikola Jokic (Serbia), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Greece), Kristaps Porzingis (Latvia), Lauri Markkanen (Finland), and Franz Wagner (Germany).

The tournament will run until September 15 – two weeks before NBA training camps open – when the third-place game and the final championship match will conclude the competition in Riga.

All games will be broadcast on ESPN via Disney+ in Australia.
