World number 10 Emma Navarro has spoken about how she feels regarding discussions about her family`s wealth. Her father, Ben Navarro, is a billionaire and the owner of the tennis tournaments in Charleston and Cincinnati.

“I don`t read anything – no comments, no articles, nothing. I don`t know what the fans are saying. Of course, there are headlines mentioning my father is a billionaire, and that`s fine,” she stated. “But I didn`t grow up in a situation where everything was just handed to me.”

“We grew up in fairly traditional conditions. We`d wake up at 6 am on a Saturday and go play tennis… It was important for us from a young age to be resilient, hardworking, able to set goals, and lead a productive life. That`s why I don`t like it when people call me `the daughter of so-and-so with such-and-such wealth`. That label doesn`t sit well with me at all,” Navarro told Tatler.
