Olympic champion from 2016 in doubles, Elena Vesnina, shared her thoughts on the upcoming performance of the 18-year-old Russian player Mirra Andreeva at Roland Garros. According to Vesnina, Andreeva is already at a level where she can contend for significant achievements at Grand Slam tournaments.
“I think Mirra can and should be considered a favorite. She has already advanced so much, and her progress is simply going up, you know, like looking at a chart when the dollar falls or something else, like the ruble goes up. That`s exactly how things are going up for her now; she is progressing with every tournament,” Vesnina stated.
