Dusan Vlahovic’s Juventus Future: Contract Talks Hit Snags

Dusan Vlahovic’s future at Juventus hangs in the balance as his current contract is set to expire on July 1, 2025. Despite strong interest from other prominent clubs, including AC Milan, Arsenal, and potential Spanish suitors, the Serbian striker is reportedly keen to extend his tenure in Turin.

However, ongoing negotiations are encountering significant hurdles, with two primary issues complicating a swift resolution. Discussions are progressing, and another meeting is anticipated next week to address these challenges.

What’s Hindering the Deal?

Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus FC lies injured during the Serie A match
TURIN, ITALY – NOVEMBER 29: Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus FC lies injured during the Serie A match between Juventus FC and Cagliari Calcio at Allianz Stadium on November 29, 2025.

Juventus aims to secure a new deal that would see Vlahovic’s salary reduced from his current €12 million (including add-ons) to an estimated €6-7 million per season. The most substantial obstacle, however, appears to be the demand for a substantial commission by Vlahovic’s agent, Darko Ristic. The agent’s incentive to seek a higher commission for arranging a new contract with Juventus is reportedly less than what he might earn by facilitating a transfer to another club.

It is hoped that the involvement of Dusan’s father, Milos Vlahovic, in the upcoming discussions will help bridge the gap and lead to a mutually agreeable compromise.
