Dusan Vlahovic’s Contract Extension Talks with Juventus Face Hurdles

Dusan Vlahovic’s current agreement with Juventus is nearing its June 30 expiration date, and recent discussions regarding an extension have reportedly faced considerable delays.

Previously, prospects for a new deal appeared dim. However, following his recovery and return to play after a four-month injury layoff, both sides resumed negotiations.

Stumbling Blocks Emerge in Vlahovic Negotiations

Initial discussions yielded some progress, but a subsequent meeting held during the international break revealed substantial issues, according to various football reports.

The stumbling blocks extend beyond just the financial terms, which would necessitate a considerable reduction from his current annual earnings of €12 million, including bonuses.

Further complications arise from the commission sought by his agent, Darko Ristic, as well as the bonuses associated with securing an extended contract.

Should an agreement not be reached, the Serbian international would become a highly sought-after free agent, with numerous top clubs poised to secure his services.

Potential suitors include AC Milan, which would allow him to remain in Serie A and potentially rejoin former Juventus manager Max Allegri. Additionally, European giants like Barcelona and Bayern Munich are closely monitoring the developing situation.
