Casper Ruud Set for Lowest ATP Ranking Since July 2021

Casper Ruud, the Norwegian tennis player currently ranked world number 10, is projected to fall to the 15th position in the ATP rankings next week. This drop follows his quarterfinal exit from the ATP 500 clay court tournament in Barcelona, Spain. This will mark his lowest ranking since July 2021.

Looking ahead, the 25-year-old faces the challenge of defending a significant number of ranking points in the coming weeks. These include points earned from reaching the fourth round at the Madrid Masters, the second round at the Rome Masters, and notably, the semifinals of Roland Garros in 2023.

Ruud is a former world number 2 and boasts an impressive career record, including reaching the singles finals at three Grand Slam tournaments (French Open 2022 and 2023, US Open 2022), and winning 12 ATP singles titles.
