Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz commented on the return to the court of world No. 1, Italy`s Jannik Sinner, after a break. Sinner had been absent from the tour for several weeks due to a hip injury. His first appearance is scheduled at the `Masters` series tournament in Rome (Italy), where in the second round he will face Argentine Mariano Navone.
Alcaraz shared his thoughts, stating, “I am very happy that Sinner is returning. There is no better place for Jannik to return than Rome. His return is good for everyone: for me, for himself, and for tennis as a whole. I hope we meet him in the final.”
Both Alcaraz and Sinner are scheduled to play their first matches in Rome on Friday, May 10th. Alcaraz will compete against Dusan Lajovic from Serbia.
