Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev has shared his thoughts on beginning to work with Marat Safin. Rublev confessed that he is currently finding it difficult to predict the outcome of this partnership.
Safin has joined the coaching team of the Russian player.
“We connect easily. It’s simple things like, ‘Move your feet.’”
“Right now, we are more focused on the tennis side of things, paying attention to that. I’m not sure if it’s a mental aspect or not. We will see how things progress at tournaments.”
“I personally don’t yet know what this collaboration will lead to or how it will pan out. An opportunity just arose, I felt like I could try it – and that’s it, we agreed. And what will come of it is as much a mystery to us as it is to everyone else,” Rublev mentioned in an interview.
