Eight-time Grand Slam champion Andre Agassi has shared his personal top three favorite on-court outfits. The American tennis legend was always known for his vibrant and daring fashion choices.
Third place: The `pirate` style from the 1995 Australian Open. This look featured baggy shorts, a tight-fitting shirt, a bandana, a hoop earring, and a goatee.
“The outfit resembled something from `Pirates of the Caribbean`,” Agassi commented.
Second place: The iconic denim shorts.
“Before me, nobody on the court wore anything other than white shirts tucked into shorts,” Agassi pointed out.
First place: The look featuring bright, cropped `hot lava` spandex leggings worn under denim shorts, paired with Nike sneakers.
“It looked cool, especially with the shoes. Back then, the president of the French Tennis Federation wanted to introduce a dress code, and at a press conference, I called him a jackass. A rude, but honest reaction to attempts to dictate what I should wear,” recalled the former world number one.
