Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova Retires Injured in Dubrovnik, Extends Losing Streak

Russian tennis player Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova was forced to retire from her first-round match against world No. 463 Tena Lukas at the WTA 125 tournament in Dubrovnik.

Pavlyuchenkova withdrew when the score stood at 7:6(5), 2:6, 0:1 in favor of Lukas. She had taken a medical timeout after the second set, citing a leg issue that caused her to stop play.

This unfortunate incident marks the seventh consecutive defeat for the Russian player.
