World No. 17 Amanda Anisimova addressed Mirra Andreeva`s displeasure regarding a medical timeout taken during their match in Miami.
“The medical timeout early in the match wasn`t ideal. I think it disrupted the rhythm a bit, as we had just started. After that, I tried to find my rhythm. I`m happy with how I managed to cope and stay focused.”
Anisimova explained, “I have a serious blister, the skin on my finger tore. When you feel sharp pain, you can take a medical timeout – which is what I did,” in a Tennis Channel interview.
It is recalled that following the match, Anisimova shared a story showing her blistered finger and displayed her middle finger at the end of the video.
