World No. 11 Australian tennis player Alex de Minaur shared his perspective on the playing conditions at Wimbledon.
He reached the third round of the tournament on July 3 after defeating Arthur Cazaux of France in a four-set match.
Speaking about the court surface, de Minaur stated, “Some people like this surface, some don`t. In my opinion, it hasn`t changed much over recent years.”
He added that despite the surface appearing similar, “But the game as a whole has become slower. Now there are longer rallies here, players even slide on the grass. I think fans like this because there`s more fight and intrigue.”
De Minaur`s next opponent will be Denmark`s August Holmgren, who is ranked 192nd in the ATP.
