AC Milan Triumphs Over Torino 3-2: Player Ratings Highlight Pavlovic & Rabiot’s Key Roles

AC Milan secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory against Torino, thanks to a rapid-fire double early in the second half. This win temporarily reduced the gap to league leaders Inter to five points, ahead of Inter’s upcoming match against Fiorentina on Sunday.

Strahinja Pavlovic emerged as a pivotal figure for the Rossoneri. His spectacular long-range strike gave his side a 1-0 lead, and he delivered a robust defensive performance throughout the match. Despite conceding a late penalty after fouling Simeone in the box, his overall contribution was outstanding.

AC Milan 3-2 Torino – Player Ratings

Milan: Maignan 6.5; Tomori 6 (Athekame 6.5), De Winter 5.5, Pavlovic 7; Saelemaekers 6, Fofana 7 (Ricci 6), Modric 6.5, Rabiot 7, Bartesaghi 6.5; Pulisic 6.5 (Gimenez), Fullkrug 5.5 (Nkunku 6)

Standout Milan Player: Strahinja Pavlovic – Despite giving away a late penalty, his earlier heroics more than compensated. He netted an incredible long-range goal in the first half and was tirelessly effective in breaking up Torino’s attacking plays defensively.

Lowest Milan Rating: Niclas Fullkrug – Still struggling to find his footing at Milan, the German striker, stepping in for the injured Rafael Leao, failed to impress. His largely ineffective performance before being substituted with twenty minutes remaining did little to secure a more permanent spot in the starting eleven.

Coach (Milan): Massimiliano Allegri 7 – Allegri will be pleased with his team’s dominance in possession but might express some disappointment regarding the lack of clear-cut chances created. His timely substitutions proved crucial in maintaining the team’s freshness, with Athekame even contributing an assist.

Torino: Paleari 5.5; Coco 5, Ismajli 5.5, Ebosse 5 (Kulenovic N/A); Pedersen 5.5, Vlasic 7, Prati 5.5 (Ilkhan 5.5), Gineitis 6 (Casadei 6), Obrador 5.5 (Nkounkou N/A); Simeone 7, Zapata 5.5 (Adams 6)

Standout Torino Player: Nikola Vlasic – Vlasic capped a strong midfield performance with a late consolation penalty goal. The Croatian midfielder worked relentlessly throughout the game, creating opportunities, taking shots on goal, and contributing significantly to defensive efforts.

Lowest Torino Rating: Saul Coco – Coco had a tough evening, consistently losing individual duels on the right side of the back three. His passing accuracy also left much to be desired.

Coach (Torino): Roberto D’Aversa 6 – D’Aversa was somewhat unlucky, as despite having less possession, his visitors crafted several promising chances and arguably deserved to snatch a point. Torino continues to show signs of progress under his guidance, with D’Aversa consistently motivating his players to deliver maximum effort.
