AC Milan Ends Pursuit of Andre Following Stalled Corinthians Negotiations

AC Milan has reportedly abandoned its efforts to sign midfielder Andre from Corinthians after a series of rejected offers, signaling an abrupt end to the protracted transfer saga.

The situation has caused considerable confusion for the Rossoneri, who initially believed they had secured an agreement with the Brazilian club for approximately €17 million, including add-ons. However, Corinthians President Osmar Stabile unexpectedly rejected the proposed terms, demanding a significantly higher fee.

Following the initial setback, a new bid was reportedly tabled, valued at €18 million plus an additional €4 million in performance-related bonuses, bringing the total potential transfer fee to €22 million. Yet, within hours of this offer being made, reports emerged that Corinthians’ response was so unequivocally negative that Milan decided to withdraw from the negotiations entirely.

Club directors have expressed profound frustration with the disorganized and unpredictable manner in which Corinthians handled the discussions, especially after having been led to believe that a deal was nearing completion weeks prior. The 19-year-old midfielder, often compared to current Atalanta star Ederson, was reportedly keen on a move to San Siro and was even prepared to waive his 30 percent share of the transfer fee to facilitate the move.
