2025 NBA draft, pre-lottery: First-, second-round pick order

With the NBA Draft Lottery scheduled for Monday evening (7 p.m. ET, ESPN), the participating teams are set, providing a clearer view of the projected complete pick order for the 2025 draft, which will be held on June 25-26.

The teams with the highest probability of securing the top selection are the Utah Jazz (17-65), Washington Wizards (18-64), and Charlotte Hornets (19-63), each holding a 14% chance. Following them are the New Orleans Pelicans (21-61) with a 12.5% chance, and the Philadelphia 76ers (24-58) at 10.5%. This marks the second consecutive year the Wizards possess the best odds for the first pick; however, the Atlanta Hawks won the top spot in 2024 and drafted forward Zaccharie Risacher.

Historically, the Wizards last held the No. 1 pick in 2010, selecting John Wall. The Hornets` last top selection was Larry Johnson in the 1991 draft. Notably, the Jazz remain one of only six NBA teams never to have secured the highly sought-after first overall pick.

With a potentially transformative player like Duke`s Cooper Flagg available, here is a current projection of the entire draft order.
